Shivani Thakur is a skilled professional with 20 years of Business Management, Operations and Finance experience, who currently holds the position of Associate Vice President, Canadian Fraud Claims, Financial Crimes & Fraud Management Group at TD Bank.

Shivani oversees and manages a blended Canadian onshore and Indian offshore team of 150-plus people and a multi-million dollar budget. In this role, Shivani is responsible for end-to-end customer claims, investigations, chargebacks, recoveries, complaint resolution, workforce management, and business unit performance management.

Prior to joining TD, Shivani held several senior roles in the Finance, Fraud and Business Intelligence functions at Interac Association Acxsys Corp., Points International, and UPS Canada. Shivani’s other core areas of expertise include: Strategy & Solution Formulation; Process Engineering: Business Intelligence; Fraud Operations; and Business Architecture and Operating Model Design & Implementation. Shivani has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto, a Masters of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business at York University, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder.

In addition to her many professional and academic accomplishments, Shivani makes it her mission to give back to the community – both inside and outside of TD. She has been selected as Corporate Citizen Ambassador for the Ready Commitment Program at TD. She has been involved in TD’s: Women in Leadership; Inclusion & Diversity; and Careers in Motion Mentoring Program. Shivani is also actively involved in Diversity Programs outside of the Bank – a firm believer that diverse teams are more creative and drive better results. She is a board member of Pink Attitude, an organization aiming to help create an inclusive Canada where women of South Asian origin are empowered to achieve their full potential in their chosen endeavors.
