Nikita Patel
Officer
Nikita has been involved with her Gujarati communities from Parkdale to Brampton from a young age; from performing in regional dance tournaments to helping organize Diwali/Christmas events, Nikita is passionate about getting together and supporting one another.
Nikita has spent the better part of her career working with non-profit organizations that service Indigenous youth and South Asian communities in Canada. Her passion for sales, events and meaningful partnerships propelled her from a newbie business development representative to Senior Manager in the span of 5 years at Retail Council of Canada. Nikita’s life-long initiative is to learn, whether it’s learning how to use new technologies for hosting virtual events, to implementing new processes for programs and initiatives, to working smarter and more collaboratively with teams; Nikita wants to learn it all.
Her experience with the impacts of South Asian culture, gender roles and community/social pressures compelled Nikita to be a part of Pink Attitude Evolution and participate in the movement to recognize the contributions of South Asian women in Canada, at home and in the professional workplace.
Nikita loves all things Harry Potter, The Matrix, family time and being left alone to get lost in a good book.
